Module Description

Basic First Aid Session 1 :

This module will emphasize the importance of providing effective first aid in case of injury or illness to a person at work or home. This course is NOT a substitute for taking a certified CPR course such as offered by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or other first aid educational agencies.

Basic First Aid Session 2 :

This module describes the various kinds of wounds and burn injuries. It describes the first-aid care necessary to manage such wounds along with the do’s and don’ts.

Basic First Aid Session 3 :

This module describes the various kinds of injuries that occur to bone, muscle, and joints. It explains the signs and symptoms that help to identify such injuries and the necessary first-aid care to be provided to the victims.

Basic First Aid Session 4 :

This module describes the various kinds of environmental injuries that occurs due to changes in body temperature. It explains the signs and symptoms of heat and cold-related illnesses and the necessary first-aid care to be provided to the victims.

Basic First Aid Session 5 :

This module focuses on the following medical emergencies: fainting, diabetic emergencies, asthma attack, stroke, seizures, and mental health crisis. It describes how to recognize the mentioned medical emergencies and appropriate first-aid care to be provided.

Assessment

Quiz: To be eligible to download your certificate, you will need a passing score of 75 % on the knowledge assessment quiz. There is a maximum of 3 attempts available to pass the quiz.
